THE VIODI VIEW
Analysis, Opinions and Direction Regarding ITV and Its Impact on Independent Telcos
Welcome to the Viodi View. This is part of the effort, led by Viodi, to form an alliance of independent telephone companies to be the voice to Hollywood [click here, if you want more information on that effort]. In this on-line publication, we share our analysis, opinions and direction on the interactive television (ITV) news and views that we believe are of interest and use to our friends associated directly or indirectly with independent telephone companies.
Clearly, we are all inundated with too much information about too many topics, so the focus here is primarily on the acquisition, marketing and promotion of content for independent telcos’ interactive television services. We occasionally veer from this focus and include articles and tidbits regarding video technology and regulatory issues, especially as it relates to the acquisition, marketing and promotion of ITV content.
This on-line publication is a work in progress. With that in mind, please give us any suggestions for improvement, topics you would like discussed or questions regarding ITV you would like answered (not saying we will have the answer, but sometimes the question is more interesting than the answer). If you are interested in writing an article for this publication, please send us an abstract and it will be considered.
We try to publish no more than once a month to avoid email clutter, although, occasionally, we find the need to publish special issues. Please feel free to email us at [email protected], if you ever want more detail regarding a particular article.
Lastly, please forward this publication to anyone you know who is involved in some way with independent telephone companies. Sign-up is simple and free.
Thank you,
Paul McKellips and Ken Pyle
