I am excited to announce a couple of additions to the local content workshop in Des Moines and Kansas City. In Des Moines, a company that is relatively new to the independent telco space, MatrixStream, will be providing insight into their solution that could revolutionize the way a telco offers video. In Kansas City, we will be joined by Enhanced Telecommunications, Inc, (a.k.a., ETI Software Solutions), as they will discuss local origination and ad insertion solutions.

Speaking of the local content workshop, this is the official announcement that we will be producing a workshop on May 19th in San Diego. This dovetails with Calfornia Telephone Association’s Focused Technical Symposium, to be held on the 20th and 21st at the same facility. This will be a great opportunity to attend the workshop, along with the intense one and a half-day symposium from the CTA that promises to talk to everything regarding video. Ten percent of all proceeds from the Local Workshop will be donated to the Robert A. Ringman Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Many of you may have noticed the above announcement from USTA regarding the integration of baseball into the IP Video @ Supercomm conference. This one-day conference will discuss all things content, which is what a telco needs to round out their service line-up. The announced and invited speakers represent a diverse and experienced group, which will include representatives from companies such as Microsoft, Fox Sports, the Interactive Television Alliance, Iredeto Access, Wood County Telephone and Hickory Tech.

At the end of an intense day of learning, early-bird registrants will be able to take in a Chicago White Sox/Cleveland Indians baseball game courtesy of USTA. What a great way to network and relax at the same time. Hope to see you there.
