FRED Video Debuts in Traverse City, Michigan

The theme of community leads me to the FRED video. FRED, the Foundation for Rural Education and Development, is a conduit for telcos to help their communities. FRED provides an array of opportunities for rural communities and their citizens. FRED scholarships have helped students in rural communities obtain college educations. The related Ethyl Grants have helped rural communities rejuvenate themselves. I learned a great deal about FRED, while editing the pictures and voiceover into a video that was shown at the OPASTCO summer conference.
The script put together by Melissa Korzuch and Mindy Atwood of FRED provides great detail about FRED’s various programs. Scot Johnson, a graduating high school senior and recipient of a FRED award, did an amazing job with the voiceover. After listening and working with him on this project, it was understandable why he was a recipient of FRED scholarship. It was a fun project and I encourage all who are involved with independent telcos to go to http://www.fred.org to learn more about this important organization.
For all suppliers out there, this video will be available as licensed content for video demonstration purposes. It is a great way to include a unique piece of content as part of your demo system, while at the same time, showing your support for the independent communities. Half of all of the licensing fees from this video will flow back to FRED. Contact [email protected] for information on licensing this video for your demo system.
