And multiple media and methods must used, if a telco is going to change            the perception that it is &#8220;only a telephone company&#8221;. Independent            telcos can exploit their local connections to market their services            in ways that are difficult, if not impossible, for national providers.          <\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">For instance, some independent telcos report that up to            20% of their bills are paid at the business office. This is a significant            amount of foot-traffic.
