Video over the Internet is a hot topic. Just about anyone can be a publisher, as evidenced by the video embedded on this page. Last week, the Wall Street Journal<\/strong> ran a week long special regarding how ordinary people are publishing content and some are even monetizing their efforts. In fact, you will note that the end of this video has been tagged<\/strong> with a sponsor\u2019s advertisement. <\/p>\n

And this revolution is not being ignored by the established media companies. To comment on this relatively new change of heart by the industry behemoths, we talk to Mary Coller Alber<\/strong>t, President of Delight.com<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Mary has a unique and very entrepreneurial background, including being co-founder of Beatnik<\/strong> with Thomas “she blinded me with science” Dolby<\/strong>. She went on to Sony’s Soap City; a pioneering service that provided online, on-demand access to Soap Operas. As General Manager of that effort, she successfully overcame numerous challenges, such as dealing with online music rights<\/strong>, creating new business models<\/strong> and introducing a totally new service<\/strong> to consumers.<\/p>\n
