In this Issue: TelcoTV Conference, VSI1 Contributes to FRED, Movielink Review <\/em> <\/b><\/p>\n Welcome to the Viodi View.\u00a0 This is part of the effort, spearheaded by Viodi, to form an alliance of independent telephone companies to be the \u201cvoice to Hollywood\u201d [click here, if you want more information on that effort].\u00a0 In this online publication, we will share our analysis, opinions and direction on the interactive television news and views that we believe will be of interest and use to our friends associated directly or indirectly with independent telephone companies.\u00a0 Click here for more info….<\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n TelcoTV Conference:<\/b>\u00a0 Standing room only \u2013 not a term that is heard much at telecom conferences these days.\u00a0 Well, the TelcoTV conference was packed tighter than some of the bars on Bourbon Street.\u00a0 And, for a refreshing change, the majority of the attendees were actual telephone companies that are moving forward with new technology and service deployments.<\/p>\n The takeaway from this conference is that independent telco video is real, the local nature of the service is probably the best marketing asset a telco has and the regulatory hurdles, while there, are very manageable.\u00a0 Click here<\/a> <\/b>to see the highlights of this conference.<\/p>\n ================================================================================<\/p>\n HOLD THIS DATE: February 28th, 2003<\/strong> ================================================================================<\/p>\n VSI1 Contribution to FRED:<\/b> \u00a0Last week’s TelcoTV conference in New Orleans provided the backdrop for the contribution of six hundred dollars to FRED (Foundation for Rural Education and Development), which was a result of the production and distribution of the VSI1 (Video Solutions for Independence) multimedia CD-ROM.
