Baseball; the sport that unites generations and cultures.  Baseball is the national pastime of the United States and our friends in Japan.  Baseball is a team sport and when a teammate is down, the rest of the team picks them up.

Well, our teammate, Japan needs our help.  More than 3% of the Moreland Little League consists of players who were either born in Japan or have parents who were born in Japan.  The greater Moreland Little League community, which includes members of Moreland Little League, EDS and Church groups, is raising money through a Flea Market, Silent Auction and Bake Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, April 23rd to help our Japanese friends.

Details are as follows:

Date:  Saturday, April 23rd
Sale Hours – 10:00 AM to 4 PM

Have Items to donate?  Bring them to Moreland between 8 to 10 AM

All proceeds of the fund-raiser to be provided to the Red Cross

  1. Hi Ken, thanks for creating this website, and thanks to all the volunteers who are making this event possible. After my son’s game ends (approx. 11am this Sat.) I would be happy to help wherever needed. I also have some shoes and houeshold items to donate (in good condition). I’m glad that MLL and Viodi are showing support for folks in Japan. Best Regards, Dan Clarke
