Great Turnout, Great Fun, Great Day

[Note:  The total raised by this event was $4619.70 – thanks everyone who helped make this a successful event!]

The official totals for today’s fundraiser for Japan are not in at the time of this post, but the generosity of the greater Moreland Little League community was overwhelming. And I use the term greater Moreland Little League community, as we had contributions and donations from people from all around town.  It was an impressive display of time and talent to put together such an enjoyable event with such a short timeline.

More later, but I wanted to give a big shout out to all who helped in the planning and execution of today’s event, as well as the families who provided the great donations to the silent auction, which included  A’s tickets, a cool cabin in Tahoe-Donner, jewelery and the Sharks autographed hats and puck.  What makes that donation extra special is that the players signed the hats and puck, knowing that it was for the fundraiser.  What a great group of guys, our beloved Sharks (we love you, even if you don’t pull out tonight’s game).

We have some items that weren’t sold.  Two obvious items are a couch-bed and dresser that are free for the taker.  These are in great shape, so be sure to let anyone you know who might be in the market for these useful pieces of furniture.  They are in front of the board room.

Lastly, thanks again to Marken Communications and Thomas PR for providing cool products for our Silent Auction and Raffle.

And finally, a big thank you to a great supporter of local community organizations, Robinson Oil, also known as Rotten Robbie.

It was great fun, but I just wish I would have brought a few of the bake sale goodies home with me, as they were delicious.
