Deutsche Telekom (DT) will brief our IEEE ComSocSCV group on their latest Silicon Valley activities January 24, 2012 in Palo Alto, CA.
Louis Schreier, VP of /T-Labs Division will will provide an outline of DT’s current mission in the U.S. and describe several important activities they are engaged in. Three DT partner companies- Mozilla, Nicira Networks, and UC Berkeley’s Seismological Laboratory will briefly talk about their collaborative projects with DT/ T-Labs.

Note that DT will NOT be speaking about the future of T-Mobile now that AT&T has dropped their bid for that company. Instead, DT/ T-Labs Advanced Technology & Development Center internal R&D activities and charter will be described along with progress reports in several areas. Those include: Advanced Network Infrastructure, Media and Cloud-based Services, Mobile Client Ecosystem, the Development of Enabling Platforms and APIs, and Technology Integration and Incubation.
